Located in Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan, The Bricks is a 100-seat, wood-fired, Neapolitan style pizzeria that uses primarily local, farm-sourced produce and grain, and a naturally leavened crust. Inspired by the aesthetic of old-world pizzerias and classic, local establishments, the design objective was to create a timeless, fun and inviting space for neighborhood families, while elevating the design to the level of the ingredients.

New masonry arches made from classic red brick were designed to frame the front entry and span the marble-topped bar. The rich color palette, wainscoting and custom tufted banquettes add a feel-good, classic elegance to the modern setting.

Surrounding the giant copper Le Panyol wood-fired pizza oven at the heart of the space, white-glazed brick walls offer a neutral backdrop for the star of the show, while offsetting the high, exposed black ceiling. An open arcade room features custom Pac Man wall coverings and vintage-style arcade games.
