A harmonious palette of warm earth tones, rich textures, and refined modern detailing transforms the space into a true retreat, an oasis that delivers the signature hospitality the Westin name evokes while grounding every moment in a distinctly Detroit sensibility.
Across the space, craftsmanship takes center stage. In the bedroom, softly grained wood paneling with custom brass sconces illuminate stone topped bedside tables and frame the textural wall covering of the headboard.
Moving into the suite, the tone shifts from intimate to inviting. A geometric screen of circular cutouts becomes both a playful gesture and an architectural threshold, filtering light and offering glimpses of the living area beyond. A thoughtful balance of color and comfort defines the room: a plush chocolate-brown sofa paired with a pale blue settee, is anchored by a patterned rug that brings softness and movement to the floor. The sheer drapery diffuses daylight giving the space in a calm, golden glow.
Alongside the living and dining areas, custom millwork and quietly sophisticated detailing elevate everyday moments. A curved bar clad in warm wood and topped with smooth stone stands as both sculpture and function. Above it, elongated glass panels suspended with slender brass hardware introduce a subtle rhythm. Nearby, a compact bar complete with polished fixtures, floating shelves, and a vase of fresh blooms offers a welcoming gesture to guests settling in.
Every element feels intentional: modern yet timeless, comfortable yet elevated. Together, these spaces embody a new expression of Detroit hospitality, one that celebrates craft, embraces warmth, and invites visitors to slow down, settle in, and truly feel at home.
