Perched on the top of the newly renovated Metropolitan building, which was home to multiple jewelry manufacturers and retailers in the roaring ‘20s, the Monarch Club is the crown on top of this stunning, full-building Neo-Gothic renovation.
Rich mixed marbles on the bartop and built-in bar height tables are offset by Art Deco-inspired millwork in an opulent shade of blue. A serpentine ruby-red velvet banquette coils through the bar area creating cozy pockets perfect for people watching or admiring the space’s 360-degree views of the city.
The concept behind the evening bar was to evoke the feel of an exclusive club without the exclusivity. Luxurious materials create a sophisticated cocoon for guests, inviting them to linger in tufted sofas and buttery leather slipper chairs. A large Persian rug over ebony-toned plank flooring designates a seating group with both lounge seating and small cocktail table groupings.
