We gave this bespoke tailor shop a classy, buttoned-up interior worthy of their beautiful craftsmanship. The existing open loft space offered great bones with a lovely, worn patina, so we decided to leave it exposed, perfectly reflecting the brand, which feels as though it has been around for decades.
Indulging the owner’s affinity for mid-century design, while tapping into the Mad Men era, we used a Saarinen Tulip Table alongside rich, walnut furniture and a classic chandelier with fabric shades.
Pulling a rich blue from their signature suit bags, we painted all the custom millwork, including an imposing pair of French doors and a suit-room shop “facade” within the shop, making them the strongest architectural elements in the space. Bolts of beautiful fabric hang on the walls, inviting a tactile response, as well as serving as a striking visual display.
