THE MEETING HOUSE
The dark, moody interior of this neighborhood spot was designed with a playful side. Bright red chairs stand out against the sophisticated palette, while several different statement-making light fixtures add depth as well as illumination. Oversized wall mirrors enlarge the dimensions of the space, expanding views throughout, and tufted backs of the built-in banquettes almost disappear into the dark walls. Locally milled brown ash paneling creates a “lid” over the bar, closing it in for a sense of intimacy within the larger space.
